Ingredients:
- Urad dal – 1 cup
- Curd – 1 1 /2 cups
- Brown sugar – 3 tsp
- Bay leaves – 2
- Turmeric powder – a pinch
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Red chilli – 2
- Saunf – 1 tsp
- Ginger – a small piece
- Salt – as needed
- Oil – as needed
- Pressure cook urad dal with turmeric powder, bay leaves and water.
- Mix curd with brown sugar, water and set aside.
- Peel skin of ginger, grate and set aside.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Add mustard and when it splutters, add red chilli, saunf, ginger and transfer to the curd.
- Remove bay leaves from urad dal and mash.
- Mix urad dal, curd in a vessel and boil.
- When the contents have mixed well, remove from the stove.
- Garnish with coriander leaves & Serve hot.
- Enjoy the taste.
