Dum Aloo (Potato)


Ingredients
  • Potato : 250 gm
  • Garam masala : 1/2 tsp.
  • Tomato : 100 gm
  • Jeera : 1/4 tsp.
  • Dhaniya powder : 1/2 tsp.
  • Hing : 1 pinch
  • Red chilly powder and Haldi powder : 1/2tsp. each
  • Oil for tadaka : 2 tbsp.
  • Salt : 1 tsp.
  • Coriander leaves : For garnishing


Recipe:
  1. Peel the potatoes. 
  2. Cut them into small cubes. 
  3. Grate the tomato and keep aside. 
  4. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. 
  5. Add jeera and hing together. 
  6. Add tomato and cook till done. 
  7. Add potatoes and fry for 2 minutes. 
  8. Add dhaniya, red chilly, haldi, salt and garam masala. 
  9. Add two glassfuls of water. 
  10. Cover it with lid.
  11. After one whistle, simmer the gas for 5-7 minutes. 
  12. Transfer it to a bowl.
  13. Sprinkle some coriander leaves. 
  14. Serve hot with Badami Puri.
  15. And enjoy the taste.
