Aloo toast


Ingredients:
  • 6 slices of bread
  • 1 large potato boiled, peeled and chopped finely
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/4 tsp ginger + garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies chopped
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • butter
  • salt to taste
  • slices of tomato
  • slices of onion
  • cheese slices(optional)

Recipe:  
  • Heat kadhai with oil and add chopped onion. 
  • Saute till light golden. Add ginger- garlic paste and chopped chilies, sauteing for 1 more min. 
  • Now add all dry masala and saute till the oil separates from all sides.
  • Add chopped potato, lemon juice, chopped cilantro and salt to taste. 
  • Combine well, simmer and cover for 1-2 min. Let cool for a while.
  • Now heat grill/ toaster, spread 3-4 tbsp filling on a slice of bread. 
  • If adding cheese slice, put it on top of it. 
  • Now put another slice of bread on top of it. 
  • Keep it on the hot toaster and toast with little butter from both sides, remove from toaster ,open it. 
  • Now slide slices of tomatoes and onion, and green chutney into the toast. 
  • Cut it crosswise and serve warm with ketchup. 
  • And enjoy the taste.
