Urad Dal With Spicy Curd

Ingredients:
  • Urad dal – 1 cup
  • Curd – 1 1 /2 cups
  • Brown sugar – 3 tsp
  • Bay leaves – 2
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Mustard – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli – 2
  • Saunf – 1 tsp
  • Ginger – a small piece
  • Salt – as needed
  • Oil – as needed
Recipe:
  1. Pressure cook urad dal with turmeric powder, bay leaves and water.
  2. Mix curd with brown sugar, water and set aside.
  3. Peel skin of ginger, grate and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  5. Add mustard and when it splutters, add red chilli, saunf, ginger and transfer to the curd. 
  6. Remove bay leaves from urad dal and mash. 
  7. Mix urad dal, curd in a vessel and boil. 
  8. When the contents have mixed well, remove from the stove.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves & Serve hot.
  10.  Enjoy the taste.
